This month’s calendar includes a conversation about financial modeling with Acquio, a new series on the Path to Business Ownership, preparation for the fall conferences and a discussion of how AI agents may support the work of acquisition entrepreneurs and CEOs.
What’s happening across Fetch this month?
We’re keeping this month’s update simple and sharing the September calendar. I hope you’ll join us for one or more of these conversations.
September at Fetch
This month’s programming brings together acquisition entrepreneurs, searchers and CEOs for practical conversations about the work of finding, buying and operating a business. The calendar includes a conversation about financial modeling with Acquio, along with a new series called the Path to Business Ownership. The series will also include a panel discussion with ETA Hub alumni about what searching for a business is really like, including the uncertainty, decision-making and persistence required along the way.
September’s programming is designed to help participants prepare for the next stage of the journey, whether that means beginning a search, preparing for an upcoming conference or continuing to grow a business after acquisition.
Preparing for the Fall Conferences
ETA Hub searchers will have an opportunity to prepare for the fall conference season, including refining their narratives, clarifying their objectives and thinking through the conversations they want to have with investors, lenders and other members of the ETA community. Conferences can create valuable opportunities, but preparation matters. The goal is not simply to have more conversations. It is to enter them with greater clarity about what you are looking for, what you can contribute and what you want others to understand about your search.
AI Agents and the CEO Role
Challenge Point CEOs will explore how AI agents may support their businesses, including where these tools may improve efficiency, consistency and access to information. The conversation will focus on practical application rather than hype: identifying useful opportunities, understanding the limits of current tools and considering how AI-supported processes fit within the realities of a small or mid-sized business. On that subject, check out Karen’s recent piece on Will AI Improve Returns on Search Fund Acquisitions?
